Rana Sneij Syriani is an attorney with the SRIS Law Group, focusing on both immigration and family law. Ms. Syriani has extensive experience as an attorney in many areas of law including family, corporate and immigration law. She counsels corporations and assists them with both inbound and outbound employment-based immigration. She also counsels employers on I-9 compliance and migration to the new I-9 compliance requirement.
Ms. Syriani has been representing information technology companies on a variety of immigration matters including H-1B visas; labor certifications and green cards. She also advises individual clients on employment based temporary and permanent visa solutions, as well as on family-based immigration visas, naturalization, adjustment of status, asylum, deportation and removal proceedings.
Ms. Syriani has litigated family cases on issues ranging from dissolution of marriage in both contested and uncontested divorces, property and debt issues, child custody and visitation, maintenance (alimony) and child support.
Ms. Syriani speaks both Arabic and French. Her bilingual skills give her the ability to communicate better with her clients and to better understand and meet their goals.
Ms. Syriani’s prior experience includes advising foreign companies on issues related to oil investments, telecommunications and public services. She has also counseled individuals and companies on forming corporations and partnerships, and revision of business contracts. She has represented clients in labor cases dealing with termination of contract, wrongful discharge and compensation. She has successfully participated in civil and administrative trials in lower courts, Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court.
Ms. Syriani is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Ms. Syriani has a Master’s Degree in International Law from American University, Washington College of Law.
