Attorney Jared Moon

As a former prosecutor, Jared Moon understands the inner workings of the criminal justice system. He has personally litigated hundreds of cases, ranging from misdemeanor and traffic cases to serious felonies. He knows what the prosecution must prove to obtain a conviction and he knows how they must do it. As a result, he provides his clients with a realistic assessment of the evidence as well as sound counsel on how to proceed.

Mr. Moon is an aggressive litigator who is not afraid to take a case to trial and fight for his clients. He understands the full implications that it is the prosecutor’s burden of proving every element of the crime beyond all reasonable doubt. If there are wholes in their case, he will find them. His extensive knowledge of the rules of evidence, the Fourth Amendment and criminal procedure works to his client’s benefit.

Jared Moon is a native of the northern Virginia area. He grew up in Sterling where he attended all local schools. He obtained a B.S. in political science from Southern Utah University. He came back to Virginia to attend law school at the University of Richmond. During law school, Jared was the recipient of the Best Brief award in an intra-scholastic moot court competition. He was later selected to represent his law school in the Federal Bar Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.
